Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews*updated

I'm not going to have a big long discussion about this book.

The movie for this book has has come out, and I watched on an airplane. The movie is really good so if you haven't seen it, you should go and watch it.

MAEATDY is about two friends, Greg and Earl, who make home made movies based on other movies they have seen. When Gregs old girlfriend, Rachel, is diagnosed with leukaemia, Greg has to become friends with her again (they used to go out once upon a time)

But the book was-

-Too sweary. Swear words were definitely not needed.

-A bit boring.

- I didn't really like Greg's self centredness.

I did like how the story was unique. It was a cool idea- having two 'friends' who make home movies with each other. It creatively explores high school life. It was pretty funny in some parts, and goofy.

This book wasn't horrible. I just think it was a bit over-hyped. It was no John Green masterpiece, but it was okay for me.

Sorry if this is negative. If you liked this book, that's really cool, because it is very good in some aspects. It just wasn't for me.
